From the main menu you can use Predict button to access the Response Time Prediction feature of NetworkSmart. The Response Time Prediction allows you to predict the end-user response time when factoring in the changes in bandwidth, latency and application behavior.
The predicted response time is estimated using LeadByte’s proprietary formula based on the total traffic of the application, number of round trips, bandwidth and latency of the network, TCP windows sizes as well as specific protocol algorithms.
In the Response Time Prediction tab, you can simulate different network conditions on the fly and see the exact user response time. The bandwidth and latency should be defined for the slowest link between the communicating end nodes.
The response times are represented in both graphical and tabular view with an option to be exported to Excel or CSV format.
